An object influenced by need. This need of my body to find warmth when I am so often cold. The world does not oblige in cold buildings and rigid furniture so I must seek heat for myself. This brooch can be fitted with a small pouch containing iron, salt, cellulose, carbon, and a touch of water. Upon the waters introduction and in the presence of oxygen, the process of rusting takes place, producing rapid warmth. This brooch can be removed from the pins, held in the hand, on the heart, to give real warmth to the holder.
