What are the influences of my mind that encourage me to add pressure and release in each moment? Does it hear my breath? Feel my heartbeat? Is it a breeze passing my face? The fatigue of the precision of my hand?
How do these variations of pressure influence our minute moments and translate to a larger scale? The paths we take and the decisions we make vary on whims, on the tiniest seconds of impulse and matters of the heart. Coincidence and intention moving gently along a line.

Choices, impulses, and desires of two minds, intertwined and separate. Paths that vary but by some influence unknown, find their way back to each other.
low light: a gentle request
A piece with two entities. That of Low Light and A Gentle Request. The latter arriving first in my mind and heart. It was a shape that was gently nudging me, asking to be made even if there were impracticalities and it didn’t know what it wanted to be yet.
Low Light came later. The shape of the request morphing into something beyond: a piece of light. One that incorporates objects of the home and objects to be worn, all within a habitat. The home within yourself and the one around you.
Together they form a request: keep the lighting low, the space warm and soft. Please don’t turn on the overhead light.
The necklace exists on the light and can be removed and worn.
